In my case it was already installed so I selected the repair option. Sheepshaver and Windows 7 issue About SheepShaver, a PPC Mac emulator for Windows, MacOS X, and Linux that can run System 7.5.3 to MacOS 9.0.4. The wiki and install guides don't cover this aspect, since they assume it's already installed. I needed to install the Visual C++ Redistributable Package. Cannot map ROM: No ErrorĮDIT 2: SOLVED! Here's how. It allowed me to get farther into the setup process, telling it where the ROM file was, where my OS9 disc image was, etc. I've exhausted everything I can find on the subject.ĭoes anyone have any experience with this program?ĮDIT: I found a installer version of the program. This is really bumming me out as I need a working OS9 system to do some work on. I tried doing this by various means, but no success. The only thing I saw was that in some people's config files they had a line called ROM and then had the location of the file typed in. I've tried all manner of pointing it at the ROM, I've put the ROM in the file folder with SheepShaver, I've spent a hour or two with the prefs files, but I can't for the life of me figure out how I'm supposed to tell it where the ROM file is. SheepShaver runs with varying degree of functionality on the following systems: Unix with X11 (Linux i386/x8664/ppc, NetBSD 2.x, FreeBSD 3.x) Mac OS X (PowerPC and Intel) Windows NT/2000/XP BeOS R4/R5 (PowerPC) Some of SheepShaver's features. I've read through the wikis, parsed the forums, downloaded all the needed files, etc., etc. I'm trying to get SheepShaver running in order to run OS9.
